Solar Powered Winery.
The courtyard of the Wolseley Winery at Paraparap near Torquay is now roofed and the whole complex is looking great!

Lattice trusses over the courtyard provide some shelter but generally are only intended to be a light visual connection between the two buildings. This space is used intensively during harvest and also as the cellar door meeting place on weekends.

Four 5m steel sliding doors enable the courtyard space to be totally enclosed to accommodate the weather.

With the new log fire going and the pizza oven sizzling (both manufactured by Balance Steelframe), the tone is set for some great wine tasting events.

This solar powered winery has not been connected to the electricity grid for 17 years and relies on the sun and wind for power generation. To date five light-weight steelframe buildings have been constructed at the winery by Balance Steelframe.
